Nopal cactus (prickly pear) contains vitamin E, a water-soluble vitamin, known for its potent antioxidant properties(1*). Vitamin E may delay the onset of atherosclerosis(2*), (3*). It may also help stop the formation of blood clots, another culprit of heart attack and stroke(4*). At the very least, clinical findings have shown that a high intake of vitamin E decreases occurrences of heart disease(5*).

Increased vitamin E intake may also lower the risk of developing prostate cancer(6*).
